Stevenage Ladies Choir is seeking a new Musical Director to lead our 30+ ladies. We sing a variety of popular and traditional songs, usually in 3-part harmony. We perform 2-4 concerts annually. We rehearse weekly on Thursdays with our longstanding piano accompanist.
· Candidates are requested to send a copy of their CV, plus a covering letter including: why you think you would be a good fit for the Stevenage Ladies Choir and the names and contact details for two referees.
· Applications should arrive no later than 31 March 2024. They should be sent to the choir Secretary - Mary Sabine, at [email protected]. If useful, Mary or Tracey de Vere White, the Choir Chair, are happy for potential applicants to contact them for an informal chat before applying.
· All applications will be acknowledged by email: shortlisted candidates will be informed by end April 2024.
· Shortlisted candidates will be invited to rehearse with the Choir (dates to be agreed after acceptance of application.)
· We hope to have our new conductor in place between by end of April 2024.
· The successful applicant will be contracted as self-employed
