Sell-out Success!

What a fantastic way to spend a Saturday!

SLC & AOCC

We were joined by our fabulous guests As One Community Choir  (AOCC) for a brilliant concert that was bursting with fun, laughter and great singing on Saturday 9 March.

After spending the afternoon trying our hand at singing each choir's favoured style, for us gospel, for AOCC choral, we were delighted to show off our new-found talents to a sold-out audience at St Christopher School in Letchworth.

Even more fabulous than the songs was the amount we raised, £1,500, for the East and North Herts Hospitals Charity’s rheumatology fund. The money raised will go towards the purchase of a new ultrasound machine which will help the hospital diagnose conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis much more quickly, enabling patients to get started on their treatment plans as soon as possible.

We would like to thank AOCC for joining us and bringing a new style, and more importantly some movement, into our repertoire. It's fair to say we were slightly scared but we were in safe hands with Elaine and now feel much more confident about clapping along and moving as well as singing. With the audience up on their feet and joining in, the atmosphere was electric!

A big thanks to St Christopher School, Ann-Marie and Guy, Elaine, Kevin and the band from AOCC and to all our helpers on the night who helped make the concert a success. But more importantly a huge THANK YOU to our enthusiastic and generous audience for helping us to raise so much money.
